In the past, buying a roof rack or bar system for your car was a relatively painless affair. Most vehicles had gutters and roof racks simply clamped straight onto these. These days though, advances in car design have meant that vehicles have changed a huge amount, and roof bar technology has had to move at an equal pace.
With older systems, carrying capacity was strictly limited by the design of the roof gutter. Nowadays, to pass strict safety tests, bars have to integrate with specifically designed mounting points incorporated within the vehicle construction by the vehicle manufacturer.
This has meant that current roof bar systems are now much more vehicle specific, and making sure you're getting the right product for your vehicle can prove difficult. Choose the wrong bar, and you could end up damaging your vehicle, the load you're carrying, or, worse still, having the whole system part company with your vehicle at high speed.
All of the systems we sell are manufactured to the highest of standards. Most have been tested to either German TUV or International ISO 11154 standard. This, combined with the fact that many of our staff use and test these products on a regular basis means that we're able to offer a level of service second to none.
